About me

My name is Georgi Enev, an English <> Bulgarian freelancer based in Bulgaria.

I have been in the translation industry for nearly 28 years now and have extensive experience in translating a variety of subjects. The volume of the translation work that I have done so far is in the range of thousands of pages.

• I have a wealth of over 28 years' experience as a translator and interpreter (part-time and full-time) from English to Bulgarian and Bulgarian to English;
• Strong linguistic background (University Degree in English Linguistics and Literature, and some time spent living in English speaking countries, the UK and US);

My previous translation and interpretation work includes a lot of travelling and working as a freelancer and full-time translator/interpreter abroad (England, the US, France, Israel, Hungary, Poland, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Turkey).

One piece of translation I am particularly proud of is my translation of the novel AMOK by George Fox, published by the Royal-77 Publishing House, Varna, in 1993.

I am a proficient user of MS Office package, Adobe Acrobat and CAT tools, such as Trados, Wordfast and SDLX.
